Element’s designs are pretty cool. A bit like Powell in that it goes almost ski designery slick as, but looks ok when you see it with other things. Clean element skateboarding logos, with element text - or just use the graphic or text part by itself. Element skateboarding stickers coming soon.

I don’t know why there’s a tree there but maybe that’s something to do with skateboarding in the elements AKA outdoors. Tree looks like a hiking sign but maybe it is also an arrow. It could be both I guess which is the point. The circle is like a wheel although I don’t get the broken up parts.

Making this collection has made me see how many skateboard companies and skate teams use red, white and black. Maybe something about really strong, bold graphics says skateboarding. If you think Enjoi, darkstar, Powell just to name a few all look the same or go a little blacker. I guess it means hardcore and then skating fits in with that. I know Girl is often black and white but I really like what they do with different colors.

Here’s the element with the text featured not the logo. For me it could be an airconditioning company unless you knew about skating. I mean with the outdoorsy feel and everything but also just the text. But I guess that’s the thing about good skate logos is you have to know what they’re saying, and if it’s a knight or a girl or a tree you have to know what it is. I mean no one is going to want a picture of some skateboarding wheels or trucks or that would look way to 70’s.
